North Arm Farm

To put it simply, the people at North Arm Farm are some of the best humans. A family run business owned by the Sturdy’s: Trish, Jordan, and Emma are the gang that never disappoints, bringing us massive amounts of the best quality produce. North Arm Farm is best known for their potatoes and root vegetables, and for good reason! Based in Pemberton, they work with temperatures that fluctuate wildly throughout the year. The variety of fruits and vegetables that they bring to us is so valuable, it makes their presence on our menu known.

The Acorn and North Arm Farm have a long history of mutual support. To give you a sense of how great these people truly are, the Sturdy’s have been tremendously present for The Acorn  amidst challenges with the onset of COVID-19. North Arm Farm has done a lot of donating and discounting with us to offer their support. At times, the Sturdy’s have even driven down to our Main Street home all the way from Pemberton, just to bring us a bag of potatoes. How lucky are we? 

Because of this, you can find North Arm Farm in every corner of The Acorn with their German butter potatoes growing to be a menu staple, and their Nova Beets becoming a best seller at The Acorn Market. 

Although COVID-19 has created a lot of uphill battles for the restaurant industry, farmers like the Sturdy’s have kept our passion for vegetables afloat. When things go back to normal, we look forward to many outdoor long table dinner events at the North Arm Farm, sharing their beautiful property with you, and continuing to cultivate this relationship we hold so dear!
