Front of House - Server / Bartender

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Server to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, telling the story behind the dishes, and delivering a memorable dining experience that reflects The Acorn’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and hospitality.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service, anticipating guest needs, and maintaining a positive, efficient dining environment.

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of The Acorn’s menu, including farm-fresh ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions, helping guests make informed and thoughtful choices.

  • Ensure the highest standard of presentation for all dishes and beverages, maintaining consistency and attention to detail in every aspect.

  • Promote sustainability by adhering to zero-waste practices, minimizing waste, and using sustainable products throughout service.

  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and preparing the dining room for service.

  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-driven environment by communicating effectively and supporting your teammates during service.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience serving in a fast-paced, fine-dining environment.

  • A passion for sustainability with experience implementing zero-waste practices.

  • Bonus points for bartending experience.

  • Knowledge of local suppliers and a commitment to supporting the community.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • WSET Level 2 or equivalent is an asset.

The Details:

  • 2-4 shifts per week depending on your preference

  • Competitive compensation based on experience.

Back of House - Chef de Partie

The Acorn is seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our tight-knit kitchen team. This is a hands-on, collaborative role in a fast-paced, creative environment focused on vegetable-forward cuisine and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and excel at all stations, including Garde Manger, Pans, Pass, and Prep

  • Collaborate on seasonal menu development and daily features

  • Uphold high standards of consistency, cleanliness, and kitchen organization

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and efficient kitchen culture

  • Contribute to our zero-waste ethos through creative ingredient use and waste reduction

  • Support inventory management, ordering, and prep planning

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience, ideally with time in a leadership role

  • Strong technical skills, a refined palate, and close attention to detail

  • Passion for plant-based cuisine and sustainable food systems

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as part of a dedicated team
