Off Mt. Lehman Road near Sumas River, you’ll find the best, freshest water buffalo cheese the community can offer. As a small, local business, Mt Lehman doesn’t let their cheese sit around. Their product is crafted with an attention to detail that makes normal blocks you find at the grocery store pale in comparison. 

The Acorn came across Mt. Lehman at the Every Chef Needs a Farmer, Every Farmer Needs a Chef conference. Since then, we have shared word of their business with all of our restaurant friends, knowing that missing out on these incredible cheese crafters would be an absolute tragedy.

Need another reason to love them? When one of Acorn’s favourite dishes, the Halloumi, was still using cheese from Cypress, our friends at Mt. Lehman stepped in and crafted a local Halloumi just for us. The result - Hello-Me - made one of our most popular items not only a local favourite but also a sustainable mainstay on our menu!
